  • Near the farmhouse at Bryn Halen Mawr, the cottage has an open plan kitchen/lounge, wide doors, and a shower/ bathroom tastefully designed for walk-in or wheelchair users.
  • The private, peaceful rear garden, with a small lawn and patio, is bounded by pretty borders and mature trees - views across the valley to Clocaenog Forest.

  • Clwyd, Ruthin & Snowdonia
  • Wonderful walking in the surrounding countryside including the Pilgrims Way - an interesting walk through the wooded valleys and along the river banks of the Vale of Clwyd.
  • Clocaenog Forest and Llyn Brenig Reservoir with an excellent Visitor Centre (open March - October) are only a 10 minute drive away - explore Two archaeological trails which link fascinating remains of life in the bronze and middle ages, burial mounds, cemeteries, cairns, barrows, medieval field banks and a 16th century hafod - a summer dwelling for shepherds.

  • Interesting places to visit near cottage in the country
  • Ruthin nearby is a small interesting town with lots of shops, a craft centre, art gallery, excellent eating places and a sinister prison! Betws y Coed is also a short drive away - mecca for all who love Snowdonia.
  • In the opposite direction is Llangollen - white water rafting, canoeing and lots of other activitives - an excellent restaurant in a restored mill overlooks the mighty River Dee.
  • Llangollen is also host to the world renowned annual International Eistedfodd in early July - an unmissable event for anyone who loves music, song and dance and nearby Valle Crucis Abbey above Llangollen is the most complete 13th century Cistercian Monastery in Wales.
  • For beach lovers Harlech, Barmouth and Victorian Llandudno are all only an hours drive away through stunning North Welsh countryside from this wheelchair friendly cottage.
  • ACCOMMODATION: 1 Double bedroom, plus travel cot (sofa bed in living room for use by carer of wheelchair user).
    Bathroom tastefully designed for walk-in or wheelchair users - fully tiled wet room style with additional curtain, walk in shower with oak seat and handrail, toilet with handrail, wall mounted washbasin.
    Bedlinen and towels provided.
    Kitchen/Sitting Room – fully fitted kitchen with integrated electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine, table and chairs seating 4.
