Holiday Cottage just for two
  • Peaceful holiday cottage, former Pembrokeshire farm barn, just for two (and maybe a friendly dog and baby) near to the pretty, sleepy village of St Nicholas, with its ancient Church.
  • A warm, welcoming and cosy cottage in a row of 5 in a country lane and comfortably furnished throughout with a mixture of modern and antique furniture.
  • A door from the sitting room opens onto a small raised patio with steps down to the secluded, totally private rear garden. French windows lead from the sitting room to the front gravelled courtyard.
  • Fishguard 41/2 miles away has a range of amenities including bank, post office, internet cafe, supermarket, filling station, chemist, doctor, vet and interesting independent shops. A Farmer's Market is held every Saturday morning in the town hall - excellent local produce.

  • Strumble Head Peninsula near peaceful holiday cottage
  • This is ideal walking country and the caring family caretaker who lives next door is happy to advise about local beauty spots and footpaths - one near to the cottage leads up to Ffyst Samson, a Neolithic burial chamber on a rocky plateau - fantastic panoramic views towards St Davids Head.

  • Walk the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path
  • There is lots to discover, nearby is the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path with hidden coves and beaches and inland tiny country lanes meandering through, pretty villages and past ancient churches - St Nicholas Church is on the route of ‘ Saints & Stones’ - one of the Pilgrim Ways of Pembrokeshire.

  • Manorowen Walled Garden, Goodwick
  • Stroll around the lovely one and a half acres of garden with kitchen garden dating from 1750. The charming 18th C summer house has excellent views across Fishguard Bay.

  • Farmers Arms, Mathry
  • The hilltop village of Mathry has a pub (Farmers Arms) serving good bar food and ‘ Somethings Cooking’ in Letterston - an award winning fish and chip shop - are both within a short drive of this peaceful holiday cottage.

  • St Davids
  • Britain's smallest city with a magnificent medieval Cathedral nestled at its heart. A village really with a variety of interesting shops, crafts, galleries and a choice of places to eat and drink. Do take the opportunity to book a memorable boat trip out to the spectacular bird islands.

  • Solva & Porthgain Boats
  • Solva is a picturesque coastal village and quay beside a fiord type estuary. There is a handful of shops, a gallery, a pottery and a choice of places to eat and drink. Do walk out to the headland to experience the dramatic seascape outside the tucked in community.
  • Porthgain Boat Trips provide a unique view of the coastline around the small fishing village of Porthgain. After your trip enjoy a drink and a meal in the Sloop Inn or Shed Cafe/Bar.

  • Fishing at Rosebush Reservoir
  • Up to 4 rods per day can be reserved for public use at Rosebush Reservoir. Permits can be obtained from Llysyfran Reservoir.

  • Walk from Newport to Poppit
  • Do you enjoy a challenge? Keen walkers might enjoy this tough 14 mile walk through wild surroundings. Cemaes Bay is probably the best place to spot seals.

  • Preseli Mohair Centre, Mynachlog-ddu
  • Stock up on winter woolies at Mynachlog-ddu. Fleece from home reared Angora goats is used to produce the garments and yarns for sale. They include socks, gloves, hats, blankets, Angora skin rugs and cushions.

  • Gwaun Valley
  • The Gwaun Valley is an exceptionally beautiful deep wooded valley highly regarded by geologists. It can be enjoyed at Llanychaer. Drive on to Rosebush where you can enjoy a meal at the award winning and fascinating old Tafarn Sinc.
