Large renovated medieval barn

The ideal venue for a family reunion or anniversaries . Absolutely luxurious accommodation.

Situated in a very scenic area of Mid Wales, on the banks of the River Bechan with lovely views of St Beauno’ s Church on one side and of two ornamental lakes on the other.

A wealth of oak beams, oak woodwork throughout and a very grand oak staircase - all the oak grown on the owners estate and handcrafted locally.

Two large, open stone fireplaces, a lovely oak dining table, lots of luxurious loungers, antique dressers, Indian rugs and oil paintings.

Every bedroom has en-suite facilities many with cast iron baths and all the wrought iron bedsteads have been made by the local blacksmith.

Mid Wales

An area of great serenity, unspoilt countryside, the Severn Valley and a wealth of local history.

The ancient market towns of Newtown and Welshpool nearby have many shops, restaurants, a theatre, cinema and leisure centre.

Fishing, golf, horse riding, quad trekking and shooting are available locally.

Powys Castle and Gardens and Montgomery Canal are only 9 miles away and the Snowdonia National Park and coast are all within an hours drive. Gregynog Hall, formerly owned by the David Davies family of Llandinam is 2.5 miles away with gardens open to the public, do visit Chirk Castle and 'Seventh Heaven', one of Europe's largest specialist antique bed shops, is well worth visiting - quite an experience even if you don't want a new bed!

ACCOMMODATION:

8 en-suite bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 16 (tv in every bedroom) plus cot.
All the bedrooms are spacious with pleasant views, en-suite facilities, oak floors, wrought iron bedsteads, armchairs, rugs, CTVs, and clock radios. Bedlinen provided.
Ground Floor: 2 bedrooms, 1 with king size bed, 1 twin
Kitchen: large electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, hostess trolley, washing machine, high chair.
Drawing Room/Dining Hall: large brick open fireplaces, elegantly curtained and furnished with luxury sofas, oak furniture, grand staircase, oak floorboards and beamed ceiling. Oak dining table seating 16.
Cloakroom: with wash basin, toilet and ironing facilities.
First Floor: 6 bedrooms, 1 twin and 1 small double (4’bed) with en-suite shower room, 2 super double rooms and 2 double rooms, each with en-suite bath and shower room.
Grounds (shared with The Beeches at Bettws Hall) large shingled courtyard with fountain. Lawn and picnic benches.
NB because of the lake and river this property is not ideal for young children but is suitable for the partially disabled – just 2 small steps to enter and with 2 ground floor en-suite bedrooms.
