The elegant sitting room has comfortable sofas in pale loose covers with matching carpet and lamp. French windows open out onto views of the surrounding hills. A stylish kitchen is fitted with solid wood cupboards and complimented by an oval dining table with 4 chairs and a charming matching sideboard. Comfortable bedrooms have been decorated in pastel shades which invite rest and relaxation. The owners presently work and live most of the year abroad and guests are welcome to enjoy the gardens at the main house. The pretty market town of Llandovery has a range of amenities including banks, post office, library, supermarkets, interesting independent shops, traditional butchers & bakers, chemist, doctor, vet and filling station. A Farmer's Market is held on the last Saturday of every month - excellent local produce
Heartlands, Local Activities & Hay on Wye
Located in a part of the Heartland, hills and lakes of mid Wales that is relatively unknown with the finest unspoilt scenery and solitude - motoring is still a delight. Fishing, golf, pony riding available in the area and there are several good restaurants locally. Hay on Wye, the 'book town' by the Black Mountains, is well worth a day out.
Horse Drawn Carriage Driving, Llanidloes & Wye Valley Walk
Have a go at one of Britain's fastest growing sports. Ride in the carriage or try learn to drive. It is possible to walk along a selected part of the beautiful 136 mile Wye Valley Walk . Do remember your binoculars and camera. The views and wildlife are magnificent
Minerva Arts Centre Antique Welsh Quilts & Abbey Cwm Hir
The Quilt Association at Minerva Arts Centre holds a fascinating heritage collection of antique Welsh quilts. The Hall at Abbey Cwm Hir is a 52 room Grade II listed Victorian Gothic House in 12 acres of landscaped gardens. Enjoy a tour led by one of the family. At Christmas all 52 rooms are decorated with a different theme each year.
