Conwy Valley holiday cottage
  • One of a pair of pretty wisteria and clematis clad cottages just above the lovely hamlet of Melin y Coed - ‘ Mill in the Woods’ - in the fabulous Conwy Valley.
  • Stylish and spacious, the cottage has been recently fully renovated by the owner who has made all the doors, windows, kitchen units and even the beds in a light ash wood.
  • The pretty small cottage garden opposite the cottage has a galleried decking area - simply perfect for barbecues or relaxing and enjoying the tranquil setting.

  • Wild flower walks
  • Lovely walks from the cottage through woodlands, valleys and fields strewn with wildflowers - bluebells and wild garlic in the spring, cow parsley and campion in the summer, and blackberries and rowan berries in the autumn.

  • Conwy Valley, Llanwrst and Betwys y Coed
  • Llanrwst, a small historic town with it’ s Inigo Jones (1636) bridge - there is pretty Virginia creeper covered cottage next to the bridge which serves scrumptious cream teas.
  • Gwydr Castle, an imposing Tudor Mansion across the river, is furnished exactly as it would have been 300 years ago - don’ t forget to ask about the hidden room where supposedly the ghost of a monk still lingers!

  • Gateway to Snowdonia
  • Betws y Coed, the gateway to Snowdonia, is full of interesting shops and lovely walks along the river. Llandudno, North Wales premier resort, has lost none of its Victorian charm with safe bathing, sandy beaches and a promenade with a wide boulevard, lined with elegant hotels gives it an air of the French Riviera!
  • Newborough Warren beach on Anglesey is well worth the drive - never crowded and miles of unspoilt sands.
  • Lake Geirionnydd in the Gwydr Forest - safebathing in peaceful surroundings, ideal for picnics and relaxation - lots to discover close to this Conwy Valley holiday cottage.
