- New Quay is a fascinating harbour village with golden, sandy beaches, a sheltered harbour lined with lobster pots and narrow terraced lanes with pubs, cafes and small shops rising some 300’ to New Quay Head.
- This is the domain of the dolphin and a cruise along the Cardigan Bay Marine Heritage coastline is a must - dolphins, porpoise, seals, dolphins, a wide variety of sea birds and small secluded coves, once well known to smugglers!
- Dylan Thomas lived here and perhaps New Quay and its characters were the inspiration for ‘ Under Milk Wood’. The Cliff Walk was immortalised by Dylan in his poem ‘ Quite Early One Morning’ .
