Over 44 years ago we started letting farmhouses, cottages and our converted old farm buildings at Cerbid, in an area where my family have farmed for nearly 600 years. Cerbid is a tiny private hamlet on the centre of the St. Davids/Solva peninsula which enjoys some of the finest coastline in Britain. Our office is also located here at Cerbid. As letting agents we now represent properties in selected areas of Wales.
Standards
As we started, so we have continued: we have only “quality” properties. There is one link across Wales they are all of high residential standards.
Selection Criteria
We personally inspect and select every property in our portfolio. We accept fewer than 10 % of the properties we are invited to view. Factors that affect our clients holidays - location, freedom from noise, convenience to quality coastline or areas of outstanding natural beauty, architecture, decor, furniture, grounds, views indeed the whole ambience are carefully evaluated.
The secret - Quality not Quantity
Our relatively small number of properties is a consequence of our only being prepared to accept properties of residential standards in pleasing areas. The consequence of this policy is a very high percentage of return business and recommended clients at Quality Cottages
Service and Knowledge Our highly experienced, knowledgeable team take great pride and patience in assisting our guests in the selection of their holiday. We all regularly visit properties,throughout Wales. Our team and ourselves have an aggregate of almost 250 years involvement with self catering at Cerbid and Quality Cottages
Gold Award - Wales Tourist Board
Quality Cottage proprietors - Leonard Rees and Margaret Rees were the first Wales Tourist Board Gold Medal award winners for “services to quality self catering in Wales”. We continue to work closely with the WTB who inspect all the properties in our brochure.
